CROSS COUNTRY: Cherokee hosts Conference Championship

Cherokee High School played host to the Smoky Mountain Conference middle school and high school cross country championship on the beautiful, fall afternoon of Wednesday, Oct. 18.  Oztin Swayney, a member of the Cherokee Middle School team, placed third in the middle school boys race and was named All-Conference.

Hayesville won the high school boys team championship, and Murphy won the high school girls title.  Swain Co. won the middle school boys championship, and Hayesville won the middle school girls title.

Following are results, per Big Kahuna Timing, from each division (All-Conference was bestowed on top seven in high school and top three in middle school):
