Rita Ann Sneed, 75, of Cherokee passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Blakely and Naomi Tucker Sneed. She was a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Momma Gene Jackson; and her brother, Tom Sneed.
She is survived by her son, Jay J. Divelbiss; daughter, Dawnya Sneed; siblings, Doris Wilkerson of San Antonio, Texas, Emma Sneed of Cherokee, Sue McManas of Jonesborough, Tenn., Daphne Hambrook of Alaska, Keith Sneed of Cherokee, Judy Cook of Cherokee; and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 6pm on Thursday, June 16 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
