Thank you from the Pamela Conseen Adams Family

On Monday, Feb. 16, a wet, cold snow began falling. This is the day we were gathered at Macedonia Baptist Church to say goodbye to our Pamela Conseen Adams.   Long House Funeral Home was diligently keeping an eye on the road conditions and were prepared with a four-wheel drive vehicle.  The Cherokee Police escorted the family to Pamela’s final resting place in the Birdtown Cemetery over the slick, snow-covered roads.  Under such conditions, the CDOT and Tribal Construction had worked and met us at the cemetery on this cold, winter day. To all, we say thank you.

An attempt to mention all the people who came to the family’s assistance during Pam’s final days is impossible.  From the EMS who transported her, to the doctors and nursing staff at Cherokee Indian Hospital who provided such excellent palliative care during her last days, we say thank you.  Thank you to all who came to visit, called, sent text messages and checked on us. Thank you to family and friends who gave of their time and spent several nights at her side.  Thank you to all the church choirs, singers, those who prepared food and those who sent beautiful flower arrangements, we appreciate all that was done. Our Cherokee people are truly loving and rally around those families who are suffering. Thank you for being there when we needed you the most.
