TahquetteJonathan “Tate” Perry Tahquette, 53, of Cherokee passed away on Dec. 2, 2014 at Memorial Mission Hospital following an extended illness.

Jonathan is the son of Dinah Wolfe Crowe and the late Francis Dewey Tahquette of Cherokee.

He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Jonah and Minda Hill Wolfe; paternal grandparents, Dewey and Beaulah Stiles Tahquette.

Tate is survived by his common-law-wife, Denise Wolfe, one son Jonathan Perry Tahquette II of Pennsylvia; sister Dianah Crowe; brother, Bentley Tahquette; four grandchildren, Jonathan Perry Tahquette III, Dezzerae Rose, Meadow Lynn and Kaitlyn Olivia Tahquette; special, Dennis Sneed Jr.; aunts, Katie Panther, Lillian Crowe and Annie James.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 6pm-9pm at Long House Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be on Friday, Dec. 5 at 11am. with Charles Ray Ball of Straight Fork Baptist Church officiating. A burial will follow at the Tahquette Family Cemetery with pall bearers being Kenny Panther, Dennis Sneed Jr., Greg Bradley, Robbie Panther, Bryan Panther, Cameron Wolfe, James Tooni, Jim Panther, Bob Bradley, Tom Wahnetah; Honorary Pall Bearers, Carroll “Pee-Wee” Crowe, Peanut Crowe and Richard Panther.
