CULLOWHEE – A concert featuring the ska-punk band Reel Big Fish and rapper Ace Hood will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, at Western Carolina University’s Ramsey Regional Activity Center as part of festivities associated with WCU’s Homecoming weekend.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the concert begins at 8 p.m.

Reel Big Fish was one of the many Southern California ska-punk bands to emerge in the mid-1990s. The band recorded its self-released debut album, “Everything Sucks,” in 1995 and its seventh studio album, “Candy Coated Fury,” was released two years ago.

Born Antoine McColister, Ace Hood has released four studio albums including “Trials and Tribulations” in July 2013. His song “Top of the World” from his debut studio album, “Gutta,” was featured in the basketball simulation game “NBA 2K10.” He is best known for his hit singles “Hustle Hard” and “Bugatti.”

Advance tickets are on sale at $11 for WCU students with their Cat Cards and $16 for all others. Tickets on the day of the show are $16. Fees and taxes also apply.
