WCU free summer concert series starts June 10

CULLOWHEE – Western Carolina University’s annual Summer Concert Series will open with a free show featuring Joe Basile in the Central Plaza on campus on Tuesday, June 10, at 7 p.m.

A musician, composer and producer based in Western North Carolina, Basile will sing and perform on piano and acoustic guitar a mix of cover songs and original music.

Basile, a WCU alumnus currently pursuing a graduate degree in commercial and electronic music at WCU, specializes in commercial music composition.

Additional concerts in the WCU series will be held on Tuesday, June 24; Tuesday, July 8; Tuesday, July 15; and Tuesday, July 22. The line-up of artists will be announced soon.
