CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to 2008 CHS Alumni Carr Crowe for receiving his PGA Certification.  He is in the final stages of completing the PGA Golf Management program at Campbell University.  Carr is the son of Sam Crowe, Bus Driver and CBC Printing team member.

Congratulations also to Maude and Wilbur Paul who celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary over the weekend.  We extend our best wishes to them for many more years together!  Wilbur serves as the President of the Boys Club.

SPRING IS OFFICIALLY HERE!

The first official day of spring was Thursday, March 20.  Keep in mind, however, that we are not out of the woods yet for the threat of winter weather. It is still possible for precipitation to freeze on the roads, parking lots and sidewalks in the early morning and late night hours.  The Boys Club will continue to work with Cherokee DOT to check the roads each morning to ensure the safety of our children en route to school and our workers as well.  Be careful and use good judgment!

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS

The staff of the Boys Club extends its sympathy to the friends and family of Shon Davis George who passed away on Friday, March 21.  Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this challenging time.

OJT (ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING) SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT

The Boys Club will advertise for OJT Summer Youth workers beginning Monday, April 21 and will accept applications through Friday, May 2.  They will work from Monday, June 9 through Friday, August 1.  Please check the Employment Section of the Cherokee One Feather for more details when the advertisement opens!
