Thank you from the family of Doug Lambert

The family of Doug Lambert would like to thank everyone who came by to offer prayers, kind words, singing and food during Doug’s illness and passing.  The family would like to give special thanks to our ministers: Percy Cunningham and Danny Sweet, and Teresa Cunningham for the beautiful song at the service.

Thank you to the many nurses and Doctors from Cherokee Indian Hospital and especially in the Cherokee Hospital Emergency Room, and Cherokee Home Health.  Also thank you to the nurses and Doctors from Mission Hospital, especially on the 4th Floor Heart Tower, where we spent 77 days. Thank you to Dr. Oliver Binns. Also thank you to the nurses at Cancer Care of WNC in Sylva. Thank you to the Cherokee Cancer Support Group and their staff.

Special thank you to Percy Cunningham and Joe Wolfe who visited often while Doug was in the hospital.  Thank you to the staff of Tsali Manor and especially the HELP program where Doug worked for the last 17 years of his 33 year career with the Tribe. Also, thank you to the many family members for all your prayers, calls and cards.  A huge thank you to Loni Plummer, I would not have made it through this without you.

Finally, thank you to Long House Funeral home for assisting with the service.

We apologize if we left your name out.  There were so many, but our family appreciated everything everyone has done.
