In honor of my Nana

I am Chance Bryant and I am 13 years old.  I am of the Deer Clan.  My elders include Will West Long, Dinah Calhoun Welch, Walker Calhoun, Nancy Raincrow Pigeon and Wanda McCoy (my Nana).  I am a member of Rezbots, Cherokee Youth Council, Wordcraft Circle of Native Writers and Storytellers, and I am a Christian.  My Nana, Wanda McCoy was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2012 and still is receiving treatment.  She is a strong person and is awesome.  Nana likes to do crossword puzzles and reads a lot.  She is special because she provides a home for me, my brothers and sister.  Whatever we need, she provides.  I help my Nana with chores, obeying her and watching my siblings and just making her laugh.  She has taught me to be open and curious about the world, she inspires us to reach out to our elderly, our poor, and our sick even though she is sick.  Nana is always helping others.  I am warm, safe and believe in Little People all because of her.  I will change the world in her honor.

We love you Nana,

Chance, Dason, Madison and Briar
