Southwestern Community College will be offering the following Kids Clay classes in June and July at the Swain Center, located at 60 Almond School Road, Bryson City. Children should be between ages 8-14, with 5-7 years accompanied by their parent or guardian. Payment can be made anytime prior to the beginning of class but is due on the first day of class. Kids Clay: Dinosaurs & Dragons
Saturday, June 22 from 1-4p.m., room 123, Instructor: M. Burrell, Cost: $16
Students will learn how to create dinosaurs and dragons from clay. Students will also decorate their creations using color glazes. At the completion of the class, student work will be fired and ready for pick-up the following week. This class is intended for children 8-14 and ages 5-7 with a parent or guardian. Cost of materials is included.

Kids Clay: Hobbit Houses
July 5-6 from 1-3pm daily, room 123, Instructor: M. Burrell, Cost: $25
Students will learn how to create a hobbit or fairy tale themed house from clay. Students will also decorate their creations using color glazes. At the completion of the class, student work will be fired and ready for pick-up the following week. This class is intended for children 8-14 and ages 5-7 with a parent or guardian. This class is 2 days, beginning on Friday and concluding on Saturday. Cost of materials is included.
Kids Clay: Animals
Friday, July 12 from 1-4pm and Saturday, July 13 from 1-3pm, room 123, Instructor: M. Burrell, Cost: $25
Students will learn how to create a variety of animals from clay. Students will also decorate their creations using color glazes. At the completion of the class, student work will be fired and ready for pick-up the following week. This class is intended for children 8-14 and ages 5-7 with a parent or guardian. This class is 2 days, beginning on Friday and concluding on Saturday. Cost of materials is included.
