Smoker pleads guilty to embezzlement

Amanda Smoker, an EBCI tribal member, has pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement from a tribal organization according to the U.S. District Attorney’s Office.  She faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

She was originally indicted on this charge and two others in October 2012.  A sentencing date has not yet been set.
