Family Support coordinates Food Pantry

Providing help to the communities has been a tradition for years in Cherokee.  Occasionally, some families may face a crisis or emergency situation and need help.  A way for these families to get help to feed or clothe their families is through donations or a food pantry.

The Family Support team at the Cherokee Tribal Childcare Services Dora Reed Center is coordinating a Food Pantry to help with emergency situations that may arise.  They are requesting donations of basic food items such as canned foods, rice, beans, flour, sugar, crackers, cookies, cereal, pasta, and cake mixes, etc.  Paper goods such as toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates and cups would be greatly appreciated.  Info: Family Support staff 554-6592
