Robert Donald Craig, 73, of Cherokee, passed away at his home of 544 Hyatt Cove Rd. on December 22, 2012 following an extended illness.
Robert was the son of the late Robert Donley Craig and Bertha Bradley Craig of Cherokee. He was a veteran of the United States Army and the loving husband to Annette Marie Woody Craig.
Robert is survived by his children Robert Craig and wife Pam Craig of Cherokee. Daughter Tonya C. Sherrill of Cherokee. Eight grandchildren; Dustin Wright, Alesha Craig Bryson, Ashlee Craig, Don Craig, Adam Sherrill, Courtney A. Sherrill and Michaela M. Sherrill, along with seven great grandchildren. Robert is also survived by sisters Earleen Chandler, Mary Jane Letts and Bertie Cooper.
Robert is also preceded in death by two sisters Betty DuPree and Jean Parker.
A memorial service was held at Cherokee United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at 12pm. Services were conducted by Rev. John Ferree and Rev. Don Turman.

Long House Funeral Home of Cherokee assisted the family with the arrangements.
