Tsani A-li-ti-sgi (John Runaway) Youngdeer, 22, of Cherokee passed away unexpectedly on Saturday Dec. 1, 2012 in Chattanooga, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard (Chief) Youngdeer; grandmother, Frances (Becky) Smith; uncles, Dave Swimmer and Frankie Youngdeer; aunt, Bennie Youngdeer; nephew, Caden Jayce Lossie, and  neice, Girl Baby Teoi.

He is survived by his father, Barney Youngdeer; his mother, Bonnie Youngdeer; sisters, Andrea (BamBam) Youngdeer, Ashley Swimmer, Haley Smith, and nephews, Colby and Dragon Lossie. He was known as “Dad’ to Noah, Mato, Buttonz, Tsa-ni Felix, and Jallen.

The family will receive friends at the chapel of Long House Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 5 from 6-9pm.  The funeral will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6 at 2pm at the funeral home and officiated by Pastor Dan Conseen of Macedonia Baptist. An immediate burial will follow in the Swimmer Cemetery.  The Pall Bearers will be Johnny and Homer Thompson, Spaz Owl, Critter Lossie, Rick “Bud” Armachain, Mexican Charlie and Lewis Bird.

Long House Funeral Home is assisting the family in the arrangments.
