Cherokee High School Seniors have elected their class representatives.  Twenty-four students were nominated, and five were elected.  The elected positions included President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Student Council Representative.  Students were encouraged to base their decisions on the following criteria:  who could best handle the responsibilities of the elected position, academic performance, ability to get along with others, leadership, and character.  Students wanted someone who would do an excellent job representing the Senior Class.

This year’s elections resulting in an exciting turn of events.  Elle Bradley received the most votes for Vice President and Secretary, so she had to choose which position she would like to fill.  She took several days to carefully weigh her choice and decided to take the position of Vice President.  Her choice resulted in a run-off between Alexis Maney and Callie Phillips for Secretary.  The seniors submitted votes in the run-off on Friday, and Alexis Maney was announced as the seniors’ choice.

The CHS Class of 2013 senior representatives are as follows:

–  Ashley Bottchenbaugh – President

– Elle Bradley – Vice President

– Alexis Maney – Secretary

– Brianna Smith – Treasurer

– Bradley Welch – Student Council Representative
