The Cherokee Mid Summer Trout Fishing Tournament is on for July 13-15 – rain or shine.
- Prizes: $10,000 in tagged fish with tags worth $1,000, $500, $100, $50 and $25
- Cost: $11 includes all three days
- To sign up: Registration is available everywhere Cherokee fishing permits are sold. Tournament is open to all ages. Members of the EBCI need to register and pay fee in order to be eligible for prizes.
- Prize Redemption: Tags may be turned in Friday from 5-7pm, Saturday from 5-7pm and Sunday from 11am – 1pm at the Open Air Market at the intersection of 441 and 19 in Cherokee. This is in the newly paved parking lot and next to the area where the Cherokee Bonfire is located.
