EBCI COOPERATIVE EXTENSION

     EBCI Cooperative Extension announces the first in a new series of lunchtime educational workshops beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 12:15-12:45pm at the EBCI Cooperative Extension Center at 876 Acquoni Road, Cherokee. “Grow a Great Community Garden” will cover 8 ideas to consider that will help make your community or group garden successful. This workshop targets ideas to keep volunteers involved throughout the growing season. If you are interested in any type of group gardening activity you will enjoy this free lunchtime session. Space is limited to 12 people, call to sign-up at 554-6935.

     The Self-Reliant Living Workshops are a series of short, lunchtime sessions covering topics that provide information on how to produce food, save money and even, how to make money from your efforts! Topics include organic gardening, seed saving, labor saving gardening ideas, back-yard livestock, food preservation and raising self-reliant children. The full schedule will be available soon.
