Cherokee Business Development & Sequoyah Fund are providing trainings that are designed for the aspiring entrepreneur or current business owner looking to grow and expand.

April 8

Your Business on Twitter & Other Social Networks         (Lunch & Learn)                   11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Description: When customers are happy, they want to follow you wherever you go. Twitter can help you stay in touch with customers with small bites of information. Similar to text messaging, Twitter allows people to “follow” your business, getting updates about sales, changes in store hours, specials, menu changes, or almost anything else you want them to know. You’ll learn how to set up a Twitter account and begin building a loyal list of followers. For some businesses, Twitter is their primary promotional tool. Could it be for you, too?

April 20

Social Networking for your Small Business (Lunch & Learn – lunch will be provided)                                               11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Description: With hundreds of social media sites out there, how do you know which ones are best for your business? This course will teach you about the different types of social networking sites and how they can be used to promote your business or organization. You’ll learn how to use them regularly to stay in touch with customers and clients, how to always have something to say, how to use special programs that broadcast your message over several sites at once, and how to include employees and coworkers. You’ll also learn about how to stay out of trouble when using social networking sites for business.
