                BRYSON CITY – Six forfeits cost the Cherokee Braves varsity wrestling team as they fell to Swain 59-22 at Swain County High School on Thursday, Jan. 27.  Swain edged Cherokee 4-3 in the matches that were contested. 

103lb. – John Miller (S) won by forfeit

112lb. – Austin Curtis (S) won by forfeit

119lb. – Sean Webb (S) pinned Levi Swearengin (Ch) at the 2:00 mark

125lb. – Bradley Green (S) pinned Justin Parris (Ch) at the 5:34 mark

130lb. – Cain Oocumma (Ch) won by forfeit

135lb. – Colby Yanez (Ch) pinned Daniel Allen (S) at the 5:34 mark

140lb. – Tanner Belding (S) won by technical fall (16-0) over Wesley Long (Ch)

145lb. – Oshua Otero (S) won by forfeit

152lb. – Robert Duplak (S) won by forfeit

160lb. – Tavi Rivera (Ch) won by major decision over Louis Saeli (S)

171lb. – John Roper (Ch) pinned Nathan Sellers (S) at the 3:36 mark

189lb. – Jarred Turbyfill (S) won by forfeit

215lb. – Will Ferguson (S) won by forfeit

285lb. – Christian Crowe (S) pinned Raymond Taylor (Ch) at the :56 mark
