Agriculture and Range Students wanted for BIA Programs

Agriculture and Range students interested in careers with the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) or a Tribe are wanted for a Student Career Experience Program (SCEP) or the Summer Temporary Employment Program (STEP).  Applications are currently being accepted with a deadline of March 5.  The qualifications for the program include:  have completed at a minimum your freshman year in college, be a member of a federally recognized tribe, have a 2.0 GPA or better, be able to work at least 10 weeks in the summer.  For the SCEP position, you must be able to complete 640 hours OJT prior to graduation.  Info:  Brenda Woods-Brown (785) 749-8493, bjbrown@fs.fed.us, cell (785) 691-8223.  Send applications to: 155 Indian Avenue, Box 5018, Lawrence, KS 66046.
