Steven Joseph Catolster
Steven Joseph Catolster, 20 of Cherokee, North Carolina died on Friday, May 28, 2010, at the Decendent’s Residence in Cherokee, North Carolina.
Born Monday, January 15, 1990 in Sylva, North Carolina, he was the son of Marty Catolster and Rose Mary Walkingstick Mejia.
He was preceeded in death by brother Matthew J. Catolster, Grandparents Joe M. Walkingstick, Menoch Catolster, Mary Catolster and Papaw Ed Hornbuckle.
He was a member of Wright’s Creek Baptist Church and was a lover of basketball and had been training to compete in the sport of Mix Martial Arts.
Surviving are sisters Rosie M. Mejia of Cherokee, NC. Grandmother Rosie Hornbuckle, uncles Eddie and Will Catolster, uncles Norman and Ed Walkingstick, aunts Dinah and husband Mark Grant, Nellie and husband Eddie Smith, aunts Katherine Dimas and Sharon Brown.
The family received friends on Sunday, May 30 from 2:00 pm at Wright’s Creek Baptist Church till the hour of services at 2:00 pm Monday. The Rev. James “Bo” Parris, Rev. Dan Lambert and Ray Kinsland will officiate the services. The burial will be held at the Ed Hornbuckle Cemetery at 4031 Wright’s Creek Rd.
