Erien Amanda Smith
Erien Amanda Smith, age 22, of 59 Kylesway, Maggie Valley, NC, died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at home in Cherokee.
Amanda was born November 25, 1987 in Sylva, NC. She is the daughter of Lee and Micki (Ellison) Price of Maggie Valley, and Anthony Lynn Smith, Lucedale, MS. She is survived by her parents, her son, Draven Wade, three sisters, Natasha Smith of Danville, VA and Destiny Smith of Lucedale, MS, and Kayla Smith of Maggie Valley, her paternal grandparents, Mollie and Ben Price of Sylva, her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Conner of Sylva, and maternal great-grandmother, Thelma N. Johnson, also of Sylva.
Amanda was an employee of the Nursing Network, working in home health. She graduated from Smoky Mountain High School, and Southwestern Community College. She loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. She admired Maya Angelou and enjoyed the Andy Griffith Show.
Her family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva on Friday May 21 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 22, with Rev. Marty Kelp of Augusta, GA, officiating.
