Winona McCoy

Winona McCoy, 73, of the Birdtown Community died Tuesday Morning at her home.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bud McCoy; two children, Mickie Crowe and husband Pee Wee, Dave McCoy and wife Vickie all of Cherokee; grandchildren, Peanut and Radonna Crowe, Dick and Ellen Crowe, Skooter and Michelle McCoy, Bo and Kim Crowe, Sasha and Stephan Watty, and Taz McCoy; 12 great grandchildren, Madison, Tagan, Spencer, Dre, Riley, Garrett, Ian, Emma, Dali, Boie, Suri, and Livi; two sisters, Betty Jo Gunter, Carolyn Davis; four brothers, Ed Davis, Bill Davis, Dougie Davis, and David Crisp, the late Donnie Davis and Harold Crisp; special friends, Jess Bu and kids, Granny Mary, and her motorcycle gang Bud, Kevin, Will and Bo, all her Cherokee Brave Football boys; and several nieces and nephews. She was Mamaw to all and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Acquoni Baptist Chapel. Rev. Greg Morgan and Ray Kinsland will officiate with burial in the Birdtown Cemetery.

The body will be taken to the church at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of service.

Grandsons are the pallbearers.
