Robbinsville edges Hayesville in Tournament

The Robbinsville Black Knights edged the Hayesville Yellow Jackets 67-64 in the semi-finals of the boys Smoky Mountain Conference Basketball Tournament held at the Cherokee Schools Arena on Thursday, Feb. 18. 

After trailing for three periods, a fourth period comeback pushed the Black Knights over Hayesville.  

Robbinsville was led by Chris Daniels with 18 points followed byLuke Perkins with 11.  Other Black Knights scorers included:  Blake Anderson 9, Cassidy Galaviz 7, Randy Hernandez 7, Jordan Orr 4, Hunter Phillips 9, and Taylor Teesateskie 2. 

Hayesville was led by Justin Gonyea with 23 followed by Brendon Brooks with 17.  Other Yellow Jacket scorers included:  Scott Anderson 3, Tanner Byers 2, Zach Cox 6, Bradley Nucholls 6, Kalen Phillips 1, Austin Shively 4, and Chad Woody 2.
