The Cherokee Lady Braves continued their undefeated season on Monday, Jan. 11 as they beat the Enka Lady Jets 65-50. Led by Rayna Davis with 19 points and 5 blocked shots, Cherokee exploded in the 2nd half to take the win. Tahnee Arkansas had another impressive game with 13 points and 7 rebounds.
Other Lady Braves’ scorers included: Kayla Smith 4, Jordyn Thompson 5, Casey Driver 2, Celine Lambert 5 (6 rebounds, 6 assists), Alexis Maney 9, Paige Jackson 2 (7 rebounds), Hannah Youngdeer 1, and Tashina Martin 5.
The Lady Braves are currently ranked #9 in the State 1A Girls Basketball Freeman Rankings.
The Braves put up a lot of points and had three players with double digit scoring, but came up a little short with a final of Enka 81 Cherokee 68. Tre Owle put up 19 points followed by Tyler Williams with 18 and Tsaladi Sequoyah with 14 points and 4 blocks. Other Braves’ scorers included: J.T. Wildcatt 6, A.J. Crowe 2, and Greg Bradley 9.
