10:50 a.m.      Authorization for the Emergency Management program to receive funding from  the NC Department of Public Safety, North Carolina Division of Emergency Management in an amount up to $1,104.04 for FY 2015 (Item No. 17)

 

11:00 a.m.      Authorization for Economic and Community Development to submit an application to the Division of Energy and Mineral Development seeking up to $518,220 for the purpose of conducting a waste recovery demonstration project (Item No. 18)

 

11:10 a.m.      Authorization for the EBCI Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) to submit an application to the WNC Nonprofit Pathways in the amount of $7125 for FY 2015 & 2016 (Item No. 19)

 

11:20 a.m.      Confirmation that Tribal Council desires to have Camp Watia established by pledging financial support over the next five years toward the building of YMCA Camp Watia (Item No. 20)

 

11:30 a.m.      Request for a limited waiver of sovereign immunity for Robins & Morton Group (Item No. 21)

 

11:40 a.m.      Authorization the purchase of land from Wilma Morris (Grandview Cabins) at the agreed upon price of $985,000 together with all improvements (Item No. 22)

 

11:50 a.m.      Request that emergency responders (EMS and Fire) who are actively serving in the capacity of paramedics and firefighters to retire without reduction of benefits upon attainment of 20 consecutive years of service (Item No. 23)

1:20 p.m.        Authorization for the Office of Budget and Finance to pursue a credit rating on behalf of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and that the funding for this process in the amount of $80,000 be taken from the fund balance of Endowment Fund No. 2 (Item No. 26)

 

1:30 p.m.        Authorization to enter into an agreement with Bob & Dorothy Smith and Reuben Teesatuskie to purchase land in Lower Cherokee Community for a new Domestic Violence shelter in the amount of $110,000 per acre, to be taken from the fund balance of the Endowment Fund No. 2 (Item No. 27)
