GYMNASTICS:  Tribal members compete in Asheville

Nikki Toineeta, Sara Toineeta and Scottie Branning, all EBCI tribal members, competed recently in the Gala Women’s Gymnastics Meet held at the U.S. Cellular Center in Asheville.  They competed with the rest of their team, New Vision Gymnastics based in Franklin.

Sara Toineeta, competing in the Level Excel Bronze division, finished first on vault, second on bars and sixth all-around.  Nikki Toineeta, also competing in the Level Excel Bronze division, finished ninth on beam.  Branning, competing in Level 6, finished second on balance beam, third all-around and medaled on bars.

Their teammates finished as follows:

  • Sarah Padyk, Level 7, second on floor, medalled on uneven bars
  • Alyssa Crisp, Level 6, medalled on bars and beam
  • Kennedy Crawford, Level 6, medalled on beam and floor
  • Olivia Rice, Level Excel Gold, third on bars, third all-around, medalled on vault, beam and floor
  • Autumn Hinton, Level Excel Silver, medalled on beam
