Park recruiting volunteers for NC Campgrounds

Great Smoky Mountains National Park is seeking Campground Hosts for Smokemont, Balsam Mountain, and Cataloochee Campgrounds in North Carolina.

Campground hosts have an invaluable role in the park. Campground hosts serve as volunteers who provide information regarding campground food storage regulations, safety and weather concerns, recreational opportunities, interpretive program schedules, and assist park staff with camper registration by performing site occupancy checks. By providing information to campers about park resources and recreational opportunities, hosts greatly enhance the connection and understanding visitors have to the Smokies.

Hosts are provided a uniform and a RV site (RV not included) with electric and water services in each campground. Hosts are required to work 32 hours per week.

Info: 497-1940 or to download a volunteer application, please visit https://www.nps.gov/grsm/supportyourpark/volunteer.htm. You may submit the application to VIP Coordinator, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, 107 Park Headquarters Drive, Gatlinburg, TN 37738.  Please make note of RV length on applications.
