CULLOWHEE – People who heard award-winning writer and activist Gloria Steinem speak in the 1960s and at Western Carolina University on March 6 will take part in a panel discussion on Wednesday, March 26.

The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 4 p.m. in the theater of A.K. Hinds University Center.

Panelists will discuss their impressions of Steinem then and now in connection with WCU’s campuswide interdisciplinary learning theme for 2013-14, “1960s: Take It All In,” in which the campus community has been encouraged to reflect on the relevance of the lessons and legacies of the 1960s.
