GOLF: Crowe ties for second in Murphy

MURPHY – Cherokee’s Tagan Crowe carded a 41 on Thursday, March 20 to tie for second place at the Cherokee Hills Country Club in Murphy.  Behind Crowe’s stout performance, the Braves finished third collectively as a team.

The top individuals of the match were Ben Cornblum (Swain) 40, Tagan Crowe (Cherokee) 41, and Johnny Lupoli (Highlands) 41.  Swain took the top spot in team totals with 182, Highlands 185, Cherokee third with 197, and Hiwassee Dam didn’t qualify due to a lack of individual players.

The Braves golf team returns to action on Thursday, March 27 for their next match at Chatuge Shores Golf Course in Hayesville, followed by a home match at the Sequoyah National Golf Course on Tuesday, April 8.
