Howard McMillan, 57, originally of the Hyatt Creek community went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 in a Cherokee health care facility. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Clifford and Mary Brady McMillan. He was preceded in death by one brother, Alfred Brady and his wife Januita and their infant daughter, Judy; and his great niece, Kali Cochran.
He is survived by his siblings, Jerome Brady, Hermon McMillan, Wayne McMillan, Leola McMillan, Larry McMillan, Earl and Tommy McMillan, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
