WRESTLING: Cherokee takes 7th at Georgia tournament

TOCCOA, Ga. – The Cherokee High School varsity wrestling team took seventh place at the Arrowhead Classic wrestling tournament held at Stephens County High School in Toccoa, Ga. on Dec. 29, 2013.  West Oak (SC) won first place with 213pts followed by Chestatee (SC) with 162pts and Rabun County (Ga.) with 116.  Cherokee finished with 60pts.

–          Lost by pin to Evan Drake (Madison County, Ga.)

 

  • Anthony Toineeta, fourth place (2-2)

–          Pinned Chad Henson (Indians School, Ga.)

–          Lost by pin to Jake Murry (Stephens County, Ga.)

–          Won by major decision (14-1) over Austin Dobbs (West Oak, SC)

–          Lost by pin to Chase Stancil (Union County, Ga.)
