The Sylva Photo Club, formerly known as Jackson Photo Club, is inviting the general public to view their new photo displays at both ends of the Jackson County/Sylva Library’s second floor.  There are two parts of the photo display: Last November’s WNC Pottery Festival Photo Contest Winners with other selected entries and club members’ Personal Favorites.  A few of these photos have been published in newspapers and magazines; one of which was featured in Life Magazine.

February’s club meeting will be held on Saturday, Feb. 8 from 1-4pm at 318 Skyland Drive, Suite 1-A, Coggins Office Park, Sylva.

A pre-meeting session will be held from 1-1:45pm. Its purpose is to enjoy a lively exchange of give and take involving photography experiences, tips, and question about camera gear. This will be an open session with no moderator. Please bring your camera gear and related manuals, as it will be a hands-on experience. The official two-part program will begin promptly at 2pm with the first part: “Post Production work flow with Lightroom” presented by Tim Lewis, noted photographer from Gallery 1.  The second part of the program is to view and discuss club members’ photo entries on the subject “COLD”, this month’s theme.
