David Watty, 69, of Cherokee passed away unexpectedly at his home of 10454 Big Cove Rd. on March 27, 2013.
Dave was the son of the late Jessan Watty and Wallie Pheasant Watty of Cherokee. He worked in the construction business and applied his trade with the Cherokee Boys Club.
Dave is survived by his sons, Stan Watty of Cullowhee, and Johah Watty of the Big Cove community in Cherokee; two brothers, Jerome Watty and Manuel Watty, Sr.; one sister, Wendy Watty Bradley and three grandchildren all of Cherokee.
He is preceded in death by a son, Ned Duke Wolfe; one brother, Steven Watty and one sister, Winona Watty.
A visitation was held at the Long House Funeral Home Chapel from on Friday, March 29. No other services will be held.
Long House Funeral Home assisted the family in the arrangements.
