Guy John Taylor, 55, of 50 Beside the River Rd., Whittier, NC passed away on Dec. 7, 2012 after a extended battle with cancer.
He was the son of the late George Taylor and Nannie Welch Taylor and was the life partner of more than 20 years to Patricia Sherrill of Cherokee.
He is survived by his children, Jonathan Taylor, Vincent Taylor, Anna Taylor, Maria Taylor, Nakota Taylor, Emily Taylor and Elijah Taylor all of Cherokee; and four grandchildren, Mato, Buttonz, Jesse and Bishop.
Along with his parents John was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Taylor. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 11 at 2pm in the Chapel of Long House Fuenral Home of Cherokee and will be officiated by Ray Kinsland. An immediate burial will follow on Adams Creek in Birdtown community with the Pall Bearers being Elijah Taylor, Michael Sherrill, Jonathan Taylor Daniel Marr, Vincent Taylor and Adam Sherrill. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations toward the funeral services of Taylor be made to Long House Funeral Home.
