“I am certainly proud of the combined efforts from our law enforcement neighbors. Drug crimes and property crimes are a major concern in our community,” said Cherokee Chief of Police Ben Reed.  “We want to do what we can to combat drugs and provide some relief to our communities and families. The kind of situation we resolved at the Cline residence is sickening. We have had a great response from people in that neighborhood. I’m glad our community is coming together to take a stand against drug and property crimes.”

He added, “The more information we have, the better. There will be many more people arrested and charged soon.

Swain County Sheriff Curtis Cochran commented, “The Swain County Sheriff’s Office is committed to ridding drugs from our communities and assisting other law enforcement agencies in the war on drugs.”
