Cherokee’s basketball teams both had nice seasons.  The Lady Braves (25-5) were co-champions of the Smoky Mountain Conference and won the Sectional Championship.  They lost in overtime in the Regional Finals to seven-time defending state champions Bishop-McGuinness.  The Braves (15-12) made it to the District Round of the 1A state playoffs.
