Mary (Tunnie) Catt – obituary

     Mary (Tunnie) Catt, 64, of Cherokee passed away on January 3, 2012 at Mission Hospital in Asheville after an extended illness.  She was a member of Wright’s Creek Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of the Qualla Boundary.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy Littlejohn and Leauna Crowe Littlejohn;  brother, Leon (Duffy) Sampson; sisters, Lilly Wolfe, Elsie Martin, and Thelma (Mickey) Sampson.

     She is survived by her husband, David J. Catt;  her son, Jose Rodriquez; her daughters, Mary L. Lambert and Michelle Rodriquez;  sisters, Gwendolyn Wildcatt, Lawanda Maney, and Joann Kalonaheskie; grandchildren, Kenny Cucumber, Anthony Smith, Tyler Toineeta, Mason White, Sierra Rodriquez, and Madison McCoy.

     The family will receive friends at the Wright’s Creek Baptist Church on Wednesday January 4, 2012 beginning at 6 PM.  The body will remain at the church until the service hour of 10 AM on Thursday January 5, 2012.   The burial will follow the service at the Leauna Crowe Littlejohn Cemetery.  

     The Rev. Dan Lambert, the Rev. Roland Whitaker, and the Rev. Noah Crowe will officiate.  The Pall Bearers will be Shane Welch, Jeff Girty, David Velez, Carla Neadeau, John Taylor, and Roger Neadeau.
