Jennie Lossiah – obituary

             Jennie Lossiah, 48, of the Big Y Community, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, January 2, 2012 in a Jackson County Hospital. A native of Cherokee, she was the daughter of Betty Hornbuckle Lossiah of Cherokee and the late Bill Candy Lossiah. She also is preceded in death by one sister, Lydia (Knotty) Lossiah and one brother Dave Lossiah.

            In addition to her mother she is survived by her husband Jose Martinez; one daughter, Juana Martinez of the home; three sisters, Encie Lossiah, Rita Hornbuckle, and Billie Jean Ledford all of Cherokee; three brothers, Eddie, Freddie and Bowzer Lossiah all of Cherokee; and several nieces and nephews.

            Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Bigwitch Baptist Church of which she was a member. Revs. James (Jimbo) Sneed, Denny Crowe and James (Bo) Parris will officiate with burial in the Lossiah Family Cemetery.

            The body will be placed in the Church at 4:00 PM Thursday by Crisp Funeral Home to await the hour of service.
