Tuesday, October 11 – Staff Meeting – 8:30 a.m.
Wednesday, October 12 – Resolution Deadline for October Board Meeting
Monday, October 17 – Health Screen – 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. – Conference Room

BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING RESULTS
Resolution 2462 – Approve resolution to hire three Social Services Assistants for Job Corps – Passed (Rick Cabe, Wanda Moore and Christopher Brown)
Resolution 2463 – Approve agreement with EBCI to provide Solid Waste Disposal Services to Oconaluftee Job Corps – Passed
Resolution 2464 – Approve resolution to hire Administrative Assistant for CBC Printing – Passed (Brianna Lambert)

AGELINK RENOVATIONS
      The Boys Club’s Construction and Facilities Department recently renovated Agelink’ s  hallway and kitchen area to remain in compliance with licensing guidelines and to provide a more efficient food preparation area. The skylight was removed from the hallway and the kitchen was updated with a new sink and cabinets.  In the month of August, Agelink had 50 children, 27 children in the School Age program and 24 children at the Snowbird Child Care Center.  

FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES
      The Family Support Services Office, a department of the Boys Club, is located on Goose Creek Road in the Birdtown Community.  Their office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Their office is closed from 11:30 to 12:30 each day during lunch. 

BOOKS ARE FUNBOOK FAIR
      The Books are Fun Book Fair will be set up in the Boys Club’s Conference Room Thursday, September 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Friday, September 30 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  Books, educational materials, gifts and music will be available.  Invite your friends and family to attend!  Cash, credit cards, checks and postdated checks will be accepted.  Proceeds from the Book Fair will benefit the Cherokee Kiwanis Club.
