John W. “TJ” Cucumber, 64, formerly of the Big Y Community of Cherokee, passed away Monday May 23, 2011, at Park Ridge Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Cucumber was the son of the late Luzene Thompson Cucumber and Sequoyah Driver. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Ann Bowman.
He is survived by brothers: Tommy and June Bug, sister: Jeanie, special friend: Wahnemah Driver; Aunts: Nellie Driver and Nan Brown; Uncles, Joe and Leroy Thompson all of Cherokee.
The family will receive friends at Waterfalls Baptist Church on Wednesday May 25, 2011 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with the Rev. James “Bo” Parris and the Rev. Red Bradley officiating. Burial will be in the Driver Family Cemetery on Wright’s Creek Road.
Pall Bearers will be Will Tushka, Michael Thompson, John Driver, Chris Walkingstick, John Tooni, and Kevin Blackfox.
Long House Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
