Judith O. Roberts Hornbuckle, 42, of Cherokee died unexpectedly at Cherokee Indian Hospital on October 23, 2010. She was a member of the Cherokee Church of Christ and had been employed in the recent past at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino.
She is survived by her father, Hugh Roberts of Cherokee, sons John R. Hornbuckle and Nathaniel Shinkman, both of the home and daughter jessica Hornbuckle of Cherokee, brother Edgar Hugh Roberts, five grandchildren, two close nieces, Candice and Tamara Shinkman, special friend Larry Hornbuckle and close friend Amanda Patrick.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ollie Hazel Welch McQueen and sister Allison Shinkman.
The family received friends on Tuesday, October 26 from 6pm to midnight at Wright’s Creek Baptist Church. The service was 2pm on Wednesday, burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Roland Whitaker and Rev. Bo Parris officiated. Pallbearers were friends.
Long House Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
