Power Outage scheduled for Friday

 A switch that could fail unexpectedly needs to be replaced in the Gateway Substation in Jackson County.  A planned outage affecting about 4400 customers in Cherokee, Gateway, and Whittier is scheduled for two hours, from 1 am to 3 am in the early hours of the morning of Friday, April 30. 
 

A post card informing affected customers was mailed last Friday.  If rain or other conditions prevent the work, it will be performed during the same hours the following Monday morning, May 3.
 

Areas involved include: Gateway area, Whittier, Conleys Ck, Thomas Valley, Old US19 to Bethabara Church, Goose Creek, McCoy Branch, US441N to Old Mill, Sunset Farms Road, Nations Creek, Rocky Branch Rd, Bumgarner Cemetary Rd, Shoal Creek, Union Hill, Camp Creek, Old Mission Rd, Olivet Church Road, Soco Road from Wrights Creek to Soco, Washington Creek, and Shut In.
