Henry Joshua Wachacha, 29, of Cherokee, died Monday April 26, 2010 at Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC.
Born Monday, September 15, 1980 in Cherokee, to the late Marenna Wachacha Locklear. He was the husband of Darlene Reed Wachacha.
Josh was a good old boy who loved to fish, he was a loving husband, father and friend. He came to reside in Cherokee, but has roots in the Robbinsville, Snowbird Communities. He was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his mother, brothers Anderson Wachacha, Reno Wachacha and sister Lawanda Shurtleff.
He is survived by his son Henry Joshua Wachacha II of Cherokee, daughter Sophia Dinah Marie Wachacha of Cherokee, sisters Dolly Castillo of Waynesville and Wilma Amos of Cherokee.
A public visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, April 29th at the Long House Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will be Friday, April 30 at the Long House Chapel, Rev. Bo Parris and John Flute will officiate and the internment will be in the Wachacha Locklear Cemetery in Big Cove.
