About 150 walkers and runners came out on Saturday, Nov. 28 to participate in the Cancer Support 5K in Cherokee.

About 150 walkers and runners came out on Saturday, Nov. 28 to participate in the Cancer Support 5K in Cherokee.

Cherokee Choices, along with other tribal programs, hosted a Cancer Support 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Nov. 28.  There were around 150 participants.  Over $300 were raised and donated to the Cherokee Cancer Support group.  Birdtown won the Most Community competition Award.

Cherokee Choices related they would like to thank the following people/programs that helped in making the Cherokee Choice Cancer Support 5K a success: The Cherokee Cancer Support Group, Cherokee One Feather, Travel and Tourism, the Goss Agency, Birdtown Community, Snowbird Community, Food Lion and all the participants.
